Neurosurgeon Specializing in Complex Skull Base and Cerebrovascular Surgery Joins the Advanced Neuroscience Network in West Palm Beach and Hialeah

West Palm Beach, Fla. – September 4, 2019 – Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS) is pleased to announce Dr. Raghuram Sampath, an experienced neurosurgeon, has joined the Advanced Neuroscience Network Physicians (ANNP) practice in Hialeah and the Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. An expert in brain care, Dr. Sampath specializes in skull base tumors, meningioma, pituitary and sellar/suprasellar tumors, acoustic neuromas, Chiari malformation, brain tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, cerebrovascular bypass surgery, repair of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak, stereotactic radio surgery, colloid cysts, foramen magnum and clival tumors. As a highly-skilled and expert neurosurgeon, Dr. Sampath also specializes in spinal cord tumor treatment. Dr. Sampath is on-staff at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah and St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL.

Prior to joining TFPS, Dr. Sampath worked as an attending neurosurgeon at Geisinger Health System in Wilkes-Barre, PA. In addition, Dr. Sampath instructed future neuroscientists as an associated faculty member in the Neuroendovascular Surgery Fellowship Program at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

For his education and training, Dr. Sampath completed fellowships in cerebrovascular surgery from the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, WA, and in skull base surgery from the University of Colorado, Denver, CO. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO, and an internship in general surgery from New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia/Cornell, New York, NY. Dr. Sampath completed medical school at the University of Delhi, Delhi, India.

Dr. Sampath also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in neurosurgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, LA. His research on the brain has been published in a medical book chapter and numerous peer-reviewed neurosurgery publications.
